Schipperke Temperament and Lifespan
The Schipperke is said to be a big dog in a little body due to his unusual temperament features. He is confident, active, and curious. He cannot be stopped even by the closed door. He seems to be ready to overcome any challenge. At the same time, this dog retains his puppylike qualities until 4 or 5 years of age. He dearly loves his home and family and wants to please them. He can perfectly protect his people due to his suspicious attitude towards strangers. This makes him an excellent watchdog. Schipperkes will not make friends with everyone but he usually creates strong bonds with his family members. He thinks and behaves in his own way sometimes, can be stubborn, but requires positive reinforcement training methods. His lifespan is from 13 to 15 years.
How Much Does a Schipperke Cost and Price Range
The average cost of a Schipperke puppy is $200, however, it may differ depending on several factors. First of all, it is the place and location where you are buying a dog. It can be the USA or Canada, a rescue organization or a reputable breeder. By the way, each breeder has the right to charge as much as he wants. However, I would recommend buying a puppy only from a good breeder for whom breeding dogs is not only a source of earning money but also a way of life.
